I'm super excited to share that two bloggy friends of mine, Sherri from Sherri Scraps With Passion and Diana from DL.ART, have passed on the Best Friend Blogger Award to me.  Thank you so much, Sherri and Diana!  Also, Martha from The Card Boutique and Barb from Bug Bites passed on another Versatile Blogger Award to me, and Melissa at Adventures in Heels gave me the Stylish Blogger Award.  Thanks, Martha, Barb, and Melissa!  I've already passed on these two awards, so I'll just focus on the BFB Award here.  Anyway,  I love these ladies' blogs, and I hope you'll go check out all of their super cute projects!

Here are the rules of this award:

Man, I could SO put so many more bloggers here, but I'll stop there.  Thank you three ladies, again, for the wonderful awards!  :o)

Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #7: New House

Happy Tuesday!!!  Today is Celebrate the Occasion Challenge day!  This week's challenge is to create a project that celebrates a New House.  Here's the card I came up with:

This card measures 5.75" square.  All of the cuts (the house, sun, stone walkway, and fence) came from Mickey and Friends.  I also used a Martha Stewart punch to create the grass.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I'm really pleased with how this cute little card turned out.  I hope you like it, too.

So, what are you waiting for?  Head on over to Celebrate the Occasion to see what the other Design Team members created, then enter the challenge yourself.  A Rock Princess cartridge is up for grabs this month.  I can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Party Decorations

Well, I've been working hard to get an example of the party decor I can make listed in my Etsy shop.  It took a while since I live in Germany and had to wait FOREVER to get materials in.  And, I'm still waiting for some things to arrive.  But, here's what I have done so far:

It's not much, but it's a start.  I'm hoping to make banners, signs, treat bag toppers, and thank you notes, also.  I'd love to make a little money to help support my crafting obsession (and our travels while we're here in Europe).  Well, just thought I'd share what I've been up to.  Thanks for stopping by!

Well, I'm Trying!

Well, I've been trying to post some projects I've been working on, but Blogger's not letting me post pics.  I put them in, but they don't show up.  Not sure what's going on...from the Blogger help messageboard, it looks like I'm not the only one with the problem today.  Is anyone else out there having this issue?

I guess I'll try again later.  Have a great afternoon!

Butterfly Card

I decided to enter a few challenges today.  Here's the card I made for them:

I think I may have gone a little pattern crazy with this one, which is way out of my comfort zone, but so be it.  This card measures 5.75" square.  The butterfly came from Hannah Montana, and the circle came from Birthday Bash.  I added some Stickles to the wings (which didn't photograph so well), and then I put a few stitching lines to help the butterfly and circle stand out a bit.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

I hope you like my little card.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #52: Happy Birthday

Happy Monday, everyone!  Guess what?  It's time for another Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut.  This week's challenge is for us to create a "Happy Birthday" card/project since it's Robin's birthday (she's the creator of FCCB).  So, here's the card I created:

I've been creating a lot of really involved, detailed cards lately, it seems, so I thought I'd do something a little simpler this time.  This card is and A2 sized card (4.25" x 5.5"), and the little lion came the Life's a Party cartridge.  Isn't he cute?  The background paper is from Echo Park, and the ribbon is from the dollar bin at Target (my hubby picked some up for me the last time he visited the States...isn't he sweet?).   I added lots of ink to the little lion and a sentiment from Hero Arts, and the happy little birthday card was all done.  :o)

Other Challenge Entry: Paper Cutz Challenge-Anything Goes

I hope you like my little card!  Thank you so much for stopping by today...I'd love it if you'd stop by my facebook page, too. (There's a link in the left sidebar.)  Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROBIN!!!  :oD

Lucky Charm Blog Hop

If you stumbled upon this post on my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can start at the beginning at Cross My Heart Paper Crafts. This blog hop is all about creating something for the lucky charm in your life.  Here's what I created for my lucky charm...my hubby.

I wanted to make a fun St. Paddy's Day card for my hubby.  We usually don't do cards or anything for the day, so I thought it would be a nice surprise for him.  He'll like the irony of putting a black cat on a "lucky" card.  :o)  This card will fit in an A2 sized envelope.  I got the card base/rainbow from Hello Kitty Greetings.  The cat came from Happy Hauntings, the hat and cauldron from Simply Charmed, and the bow from Once Upon a Princess.  I added lots of ink and some stitching lines, and this little card was all done!

Okay...now how about some Blog Candy???  I'm giving away a little collection of green crafting goodies:  a green and silver chipboard alphabet, a green embellishment pack, and some pretty green ribbons.  If you'd like the chance to win these goodies, here's what you need to do:

Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #5

It's Tuesday again, so it's time for another challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion.  This week's project is to create a project for a New Arrival (a new pet or baby).  Here's the card I came up with:

This card measures 5" square.  I used the Create a Critter cartridge for the seahorses and hearts.  The coral and seaweed came from the SpongeBob Squarepants.  I used lots of ink and chalk on the little seahorse mommy and baby and the sand.  The sentiment came from Hero Arts.

Be sure to head over to Celebrate the Occasion to see what else the talented Design Team members created this week.  Then, join in the fun and enter the challenge yourself.  You could be entered to win a Rock Princess cartridge!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #50: Tree Time

Hi, everybody!  It's Monday, so it's time for Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  The challenge this week is called Tree Time.  You can use any kind of tree on your project...a pine tree, a palm tree, or even a branch will do.  I had so much fun creating this card!  There are so many great tree cuts out there, and I got the chance to make my very first easel card!  Here it is:

Awww!  Doesn't that little panda look so lonely?  Look...he set a place for someone, but they're not there.  :o(  So sad.  Being a military wife, I know how this little guy feels.  We are always away from someone, whether it be family, friends, or my husband.  Missing someone is just no fun!

This easel card measures 5.75" square.  I used the Pagoda cartridge for all of the cuts except the bushes and grass, which came from Everyday Paper Dolls, and the circle, which came from Birthday Bash.  I used my Cuttlebug, the Plum Blossom and Forest Branches embossing folders, and some ink to add a little texture, and I love how it turned out.  I tried to cut out some chopsticks, but they were just too tiny, so I used some tootpicks instead.  Ha!  I think they add just the right touch.  The sentiment was computer generated, and I added some red fibers to jazz up the base a bit.

I hope you'll head on over to FCCB to see what the other Design Team members created and enter the challenge yourself.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping today.  If you like what you see, I'd love it if you'd leave a comment and become a follower.  Have a great day!

OWH Bunny Hop

Hi!  Welcome to Operation Write Home's Bunny Hop!  Hopefully you've come here from April at Scrapping the Magic.  If not, and you'd like to start from the beginning, check out Operation Write Home's Stars and Stamps Blog

I'm so excited to be participating in this hop, and I hope you'll enjoy my little springy project. Make sure you scroll all the way down for your chance to win some springy blog candy!   Here's my card:

I had so much fun making this card, which can double as an Easter decoration.  When folded up, this card measures 5.5" square, so it will fit in a 6" square envelope.  I used several Cricut carts in this project: bunny and butterfly--Create a Critter, tree--Simply Charmed, basket and eggs--Doodlecharms, bushes and grass--Everyday Paper Dolls.  I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the tree, eggs, and basket, and I added lots of chalk, ink, and doodling to make everything pop!  I used shapes from Birthday Bash to create the card base (I got the idea from Lettering Delights' Sweet Nothings SVG set--but the card there is rectangular, and I wanted a square card).    Here's how I made the base, in case you're interested:

I created a file on my Gypsy using the Birthday Bash circle and square shape.  I had to design it on a 12 x 24" mat because the Gypsy kept moving my shapes over on the 12 x 12" mat so it wouldn't cut out correctly.  Strange and frustrating problem, but switching to the larger mat fixed it.  :o)

Next, I folded the two square shapes in half and the rectangular shape 2.75" from each end.

I glued the pieces together to form the basic card base, making sure I lined up the circles just right.

Next, I made another Gypsy file for the patterned paper I wanted to line the card with.  I made it so there would be a white border around each paper piece.

I cut the square piece in half.

Then I glued all of the pieces in place.

And finally my base was all ready to be filled with springy goodness!  I'd love to share this file with you.  If you'd like both files...the card base and the paper linings, just let me know in your comment and make sure to include your e-mail address.  You can feel free to use it for your own projects, just please link back to me if you post the card you make in your blog.  :o)

Okay...now how about some Bunny Hop Candy???  I'm giving away a Bloom Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and three Bazzill border strips in bright, springy colors.  If you'd like a chance to win these goodies, here's what you need to do:

1.  Become a follower and leave a comment letting me know. Or, let me know you're already a follower.  You must be a  follower to win.  Please don't forget to include your e-mail address.
2.  For an extra entry, post this giveaway on your blog and leave another comment with a link back to the post.  Also, don't forget your e-mail address.
3.  For another extra entry, LIKE my Facebook page and leave another comment telling me you did so.  Don't forget to leave your e-mail address in your comment.

That's it.  Please...only US mailing addresses.  I'll randomly choose a winner on Wednesday, March 9.  Oh, and don't forget to mention in your comment if you'd like me to send you the Gypsy files.

Okay...on with the hop.  Your next Bunny Hop stop is Cindy at Cindy's Card Co.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Remember that the deadline for sending in OWH cards for Easter is March 18, and the Mother's Day deadline is March 31.  Enjoy the rest of the hop, and have a very HOPPY weekend!

I'm Lucky to Have You

I have a fun card to show you today that works for a few challenges that are going on right now.  Here it is:

This card measures 5.75" square.  I got the shamrocks from Give a Hoot, and all of the other cuts came from Simply Charmed.  The sentiment on the inside is computer generated.  Then, I added lots of ink, some stitching lines, a tiny button, and some Stickles to finish off the card.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

Challenge #18: St. Paddy's Themed--Crafting with Christina
Challenge #81: St. Patrick's Day--Paper Cutz Challenge
Lucky to Have You--Creative Cutter Room
T.G.I.F Linky Party--Craft Junkie Too
I hope you like my little card...I think it's really fun!  Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the OWH Bunny Hop at 10:00 a.m. EST.  It's my very first blog hop!!!  I'd love it if you'd join in the fun!  Also, make sure you check out the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog tomorrow...it's my first time posting as the Scrappin' Saturday gal.  :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
